May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Updated: Nov 11, 2022
I'm pretty sure that ever since 2020, after being forced to slow down and move differently, you've asked yourself some questions.
What is it that I TRULY want?
Am I doing this because it’s what I truly want, or because of what others expect of me?
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, here are some things that have been beneficial for my Mental Health.
Having 100% body autonomy and not allowing any person or organization to tell me which way is the best for me to live my life. No one is you, and you’re not anyone else. Who is anyone to tell you what's best?
Embracing small things like drinking a hot cup of tea while I’m playing Tibetan meditation music.
Spending time with friends and family.
Getting Nature’s natural anti- antidepressant every day: SUNLIGHT!
Cultivating new, organic, and positive relationships with like-minded individuals
Indulging in delicious food and drinks
Experiencing new things that make me uncomfortable but challenge me to grow.
Finding my signature personal style, perfume, and beauty routine.
Choosing quality environments
Careless about what people think about me, and more about what I THINK ABOUT ME
Not giving energy to anything that drains me, keeping solid boundaries
I pray for everyone with mental health struggles and know how it feels. Let's continue to be stoic, have compassion for ourselves and one another, and living our authentic lives.
